Take a Deeper Look, & Make More Time to Reflect on Life and Mortality
Death and Dying is really hard to talk and think about for ourselves or ones we care about. The reality is though, we all are born one day, and we all will pass one day and often by circumstances beyond our control.
What happens between those points in time, is what we can manage and make the most of. VimBridge assists in identifying what is key to having the best life, and death experience possible.
During a 2-2.5 day retreat attendees will gather in a comfortable, supportive space. The days will include guided mediations, Yin and Vinyasa style yoga, sound baths, reflection, journaling, discussion…
Good food, music, laughter and connections with others and nature will also be enjoyed.

About VimBridge
VimBridge started over three decades ago when the founder witnessed the humbling and powerful final breath of her mom that transitioned her to a place unrealized to the living. The unforgettable moment settled in her mind, but never left, while raising three children with her husband and following a career path across different industries and roles, including education, training, project management and product commercialization.
Finally, after completing training as an End-of-Life Doula, and becoming a 200 hour certified yoga instructor, VimBridge came together.
There is nothing easy about thinking, talking or planning for one’s end-of-life.
VimBridge exists to help start conversations, decisions and reflections about how to make the life we have now - the absolute best it can be.
Founder, Nancy Anton, is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with 200 hours of training. She also is an End-of-Life Doula trained through INELDA.
FAQs
-
An end-of-life (EOL) doula as a non-medical person who accompanies, educates, and advocates for those who are planning for death, diagnosed with a terminal illness, or facing imminent death, and their circle of care. Doulas also support people and communities who have experienced a sudden death.
Doulas offer resources to help the dying person and their circle of care to make informed decisions in a supportive environment.
A doula can become involved any time in a person’s life. We offer support when people are impacted by a life changing illness, after a terminal diagnosis, when death is imminent, or even after a death—to help with light grief support. Sometimes family members or loved ones of the person dying seek support and guidance from end-of-life doulas.
Doulas normalize deathcare by creating spaces to hold conversations leading to increased communication and increased spiritual and emotional well being. When individuals plan for death, they have autonomy over their decisions and are able to clearly define their end-of-life wishes with family and loved ones. While there are alternative names for end-of-life doulas like death doula, death midwife, death coach, end-of-life coach—we all seek to provide compassionate deathcare.
This definition comes from INELDA that provides training and resources. To learn more visit https://inelda.org/about-doulas/what-is-a-doula/

Yes, and no.
As the Founder of VimBridge earned her 40 hour certificate of EOL Doula training, she realized that some areas of the support a doula can provide to a person nearing the end of life, can begin at any point. Decisions and planning can start anytime, and ideally when one feels healthy and doesn’t have time contraints.

That’s easy - lots of people THINK about their mortality. Some people talk about it and fewer make plans that will support their desired wishes for their transitions from life to death.
VimBridge wants to help change that by providing education and support to those who are interested and ready to talk about mortality. Everyone comes to those decisions and timing on their own, so VimBridge will be here to help when the time is right for you or your loved ones.
